Under the Bermuda Monetary Authority Act 1969, the Authority may assist a foreign regulator provided that the foreign regulator  carries out functions similar to those performed by the Authority and is bound by confidentiality requirements similar to those imposed on the Authority under the Act. Upon receipt of a request the Authority will verify if these conditions are met and then respond to the request.
