As Senior Advisor - BTCSI, Mrs. Woolridge-Allwood has responsibility for supervising Bermuda’s banks, deposit companies, trust and investment businesses, investment funds, fund administrators,corporate service providers, money service businesses, the credit union, as well as the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
After working six years in the banking industry in Canada and Bermuda and as a Technical Officer (Licensing and Insolvencies) in Bermuda’s Registrar of Companies, Mrs.Woolridge-Allwood joined the Authority in 1986 as Manager, Exchange Control.
In 1990, Mrs. Woolridge-Allwood was promoted to the position of Deputy General Manager of the Authority, with specific responsibility for the Corporate and Administrative Divisions.
For a two-year period from 1999, Mrs. Woolridge-Allwood was seconded to undertake training in the supervisory and regulatory departments of the Financial Services Authority in London.
After her UK secondment, Mrs. Woolridge-Allwood returned to the Authority as Deputy Director, Banking, Trust & Investment and in that capacity chaired the Authority’s internal Assessment and Licensing Committee; represented the BMA at meetings of the Group of International Finance Centre Supervisors, Council of Securities Regulators of the Americas and International Organisation of Securities Commissions.
From 2004 to 2010, Mrs. Woolridge-Allwood was the Authority’s Director of Corporate & Financial Services. In 2011, Mrs. Woolridge-Allwood became Director, Banking, Trust & Investment. In 2017, Mrs. Woolridge-Allwood was promoted to Managing Director, Supervision (BTCSI).
