BMA Food Drive Campaign Benefits The Eliza DoLittle Society

22 August 2019

HAMILTON, BERMUDA – Staff from the Bermuda Monetary Authority (the BMA or the Authority) recently participated in a food drive campaign and dress down denim day to benefit The Eliza DoLittle Society, a local charity whose aim is to provide healthy solutions to those living in Bermuda who do not have reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food.

BMA staff donated non-perishable food items to the campaign conducted through the months of July and early August, and took part in a denim day on Friday 16 August in exchange for a monetary donation. The efforts are part of the Authority’s 50th Anniversary celebrations and expanded community outreach in 2019 to partner with the island's registered charities whose missions address areas such as children and families, arts and culture, the environment, education and seniors.

Following the conclusion of the campaign on Friday 9 August, the lobby of BMA House had boxes filled with donated non-perishable food items.
