As Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO), Craig Swan is responsible for overseeing the Authority’s supervisory activities of banks, insurance, trust companies, digital assets and investment businesses. He also assists in the BMA’s ongoing planning and development, alongside sharing in the Authority’s executive management and participating in key external initiatives with government and industry stakeholders, both domestically and internationally.
Mr. Swan joined the Authority in 2006, and has held various positions in the Supervision Insurance, Policy & International Affairs and Risk departments.
Prior to joining the Authority, Mr. Swan worked as Controller and later Controller & Vice President, Strategic Information Services for Arthur J. Gallagher Bermuda from 2000 to 2006. Mr. Swan is a Certified General Accountant and a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.
